Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 6, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Nichols & Company(“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our websites — including racon.tours, tourcwe.com, and forestparkpicnics.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognize your device on return visits, remember your preferences, and analyze how the site is used. Some cookies are set by us; others are set by third-party services we use.

Similar technologies (web beacons, pixel tags, local storage) work the same way and are covered by this policy.

2. Why We Use Cookies

We use cookies for three purposes:

Essential cookies — required for the site to function. These keep you logged in, remember items in your booking cart, and protect against fraud. These cannot be disabled without breaking core site functionality, including the booking system.

Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors find and use our sites so we can improve them. These are not used to identify individual visitors.

Marketing cookies — help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising and (where used) deliver relevant ads on other websites.

3. Specific Cookies We Use

Booking platform (Bókun). Our booking provider sets session cookies to maintain your booking flow and keep your cart contents between pages. These are essential.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to measure site traffic and understand visitor behavior. Google Analytics sets cookies (typically named _ga , _gid , and similar) that track session and visitor identifiers. Data is processed by Google in accordance with their privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

MailerLite. If you subscribe to our newsletter, MailerLite may set cookies to manage your subscription preferences and track email engagement. See MailerLite’s privacy policy.

Online Travel Agencies. If you arrive from or book through a partner like Viator, GetYourGuide, or Tripadvisor, those platforms may set cookies in connection with your booking. Their cookie policies apply to those cookies.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on our sites are set by third-party services we don’t directly control (Google, MailerLite, OTA partners). We don’t share your personal information with these services beyond what’s necessary for them to perform their function. Each third party has its own privacy and cookie policies, linked from the relevant section above.

5. Your Choices

Browser settings. Most browsers let you view, manage, and delete cookies through their settings. You can also configure your browser to block cookies or warn you before accepting them. Note that blocking essential cookies will break the booking system.

Browser-specific instructions:

Opt-out tools. For interest-based advertising, you can use industry opt-out tools at aboutads.info (United States) or youronlinechoices.eu (European Union).

6. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no industry standard for how to respond to these signals, our sites do not currently respond to them. Use the controls described in Section 5 instead.

7. EU and EEA Visitors

If you are visiting from the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, we will request your consent before setting non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing). You can withdraw consent at any time through the cookie consent banner displayed on our sites, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Essential cookies do not require consent because they are necessary for the site to function.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices change or as new technologies emerge. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent changes.
